Tam’s passion for photography started with a love of art and graphics at secondary school. After completing a Visual Arts degree majoring in Photography/Graphic Design, she spent some time teaching. It wasn’t until the birth of her eldest child in 2008 that her obsession for photography really flourished – and with it came the birth of Tamara Cadd Photography.

With the arrival of her second child, came the labour of love of her most recent product developments; as is often the case with many artists and handmadies, Tam’s daughter Georgia is credited with the inspiration for these charming wares. It all started with the creation of a book for Georgia, and out of sheer popularity has grown into it’s own range of divine items. You’ll agree that this whimsical little collection of photographic and ABC products is a very welcome addition to the Tamara Cadd Photography family! Tam jokes ‘maybe I better stop having kids....a new business for every child may be a bit too much!’

Tam filled me in on the personalised aspect to the collection. “The range is really combining with my photography more now too, with personalised letter canvases and ABC books available, using the photographs from your child’s Tamara Cadd Photography photo shoot.”

But, for this busy wife and mother of two, it doesn’t stop there. As well as continuing to photograph weddings and portraits with her Tamara Cadd Photography business, the G for Georgia range seems to have taken on a beautiful evolution. G for Georgia devotees have got reason to celebrate; “new products are always on the way, I just have trouble finding the time to bring them to life! This year I’ll be extending the range to include a number and a colour series,” says Tam. That sounds like reason to celebrate to me!
